What a game this was. It was nice to see a thrashing of a conference opponent on the road, and even if the Bears did let off the gas some, it was still a big win on the road over an opponent that we should have and did dominate from start to finish.
LaceDarius Dunn went [...]
What a disappointing loss this one was… With Dunn seeing major foul trouble (that official was smoking crack, btw) and only putting in 9 points (6 on FTs), Baylor wasn’t able to outscore a hot SC team. Jerrells put in 22 points, Carter scored 18, and Dugat scored 16 points, but they needed 45 shot [...]
This was a case of Baylor completely outgunning and outplaying their competition. It’s good to see that. I have been worried that they had been playing down to their competition as they were wont to do the past couple years. It was nice to see them pour it on early, and keep [...]
Some crazy dunks in this game. Rogers at the 1:25 mark is ridiculous.
Baylor was able to get up big early and hold on late to defeat Portland State last night. Leading by as many as 24 in the game, Baylor used a much more sensible ratio of 2pt:3pt shots (41:16) and not surprisingly shot a much higher percentage in the game (50.9%) than we’ve seen in the [...]
Well, the Bears got their scare for this homestand. Let’s hope it’s the last one.
Baylor came out and shot themselves into a hole with 17 three point attempts in the first half, and found themselves trailing by 9 points at the half to UTA. Now, UTA is not an awful team, and in fact they [...]
Finding themselves down by 7 to 3-5 PVA&M in the early goings, Baylor needed something to break through the fog that was hanging over the offensive end of the court. That breakthrough came from the three point arc, in the form of back to back 3-pointers by Henry Dugat. Scoring 8 of his 17 points [...]
Well, it wasn’t a pretty game, but I’m not sure that anyone that plays against Washington State will have all that pretty a game. The bottom line is that we came out of Pullman with a W. There weren’t a lot of highlights to the game, but the constant grinding that it took to win [...]
It’s been a while since BruinsBold.com was active, but I’m coming out of a period where I basically lived, ate and breathed work. It was pretty terrible. I’m taking a bit better stock of things, and doing what I want to do for myself, and one of the great loves of my life is Baylor [...]
